A Day In The Life
author: Vi Tran
Category: typical day for a student
The hair, the glare, the wondrous eyes
To people eating pecan pies
For now I sit and wait to see
What the class has planned for me
This class feels like a bright day in the middle of the night
As the dark sun shine so dark yet bright
Outside the trees swayed side to side
As some sneaky students try to hide
As the teacher talks and the students play
From the sun shining on everyone today
The skinny girl who is thin like a pen
Life from girls to ladies or boys to men
As the night dawns upon the sky
From stars shining so sparkly yet shimmers high
As the day goes by so slow yet fast
From our precious memories like the past
The next day as each class I pass
I am a sitting duck in class
Not knowing what to do
Feeling sick, I'm turning blue
My classes so easy yet some so hard
Oh I wish it were easy like playing cards
My friends, some nice yet some mean
Or just when you need someone shoulder to lean
Now I'm back home looking at flowers
My parents yelling go take a shower
As I sit, happy or weep
Now I dream as I sleep
