    Ache & Madness

    written by: Beverly Gusler
    category: Woe

    Stop this sea of sadness
    Be still my driving need
    Some enormous ache & madness
Has urged my soul to leave

    Nothingness has called to me
And to his call, I heed
Forever to lay by his side
No more, my soul to bleed.

    Take away these senses
    Do not let me feel
The magic of a lover’s touch
When that love is not for real

    Take away my eyesight
    The beginning of heart’s woe
For lust begins with a look
And I desire to lust no more

    Blanket me with silence
    Drown out this rhythmic beat
Of a heart that’s thrown away
It’s welcome mat of careless feet
