    Again

    author: Jake Logsdon

Again, Again my soul is tortured,
again I am haunted, again I am alone,
again I walk the path with no love,
again you banish me to linger in dark.
And why, why do you let me see the light
but never let it be found,
why do you let me feel its warmth
but then send me into winters cold fury.
Why do you let me hold my dream
and then let it fall in ashes.
So end my eternal need for one,
set me free to end life's game,
I can no longer receive this strife of internal pain.
Tease me no longer with these mirages
of my only need, unless you will let
me live my dream, I will not run this circle of
    death, this path of destruction.
Either let me live and have her to hold in my arms,
let me listen to angels sweet song of joy
or finish your playful game with me
for I can't play it through again.
    Again.
