    Butterflies

    written by: Lisa B.

    Fluttering across the open field,
    Tickling all the flowers,
    Soon settling down
    In the warm summer sun,
    Alert to hide from rain showers.

    You always cared and worried about me,
    And, for the most part, never lied.
    That's how you gave me
    Comfort and peace;
    That's how you gave me butterflies.
