Before you hang up can you tell me you care
and tell me you enjoy every moment we share
Before you close the door can you hold my hand,
embrace me tightly let me know where we stand
Before you lay down to end your day,
can you think about us in each and every way
How you feel in the morning when you open your eyes
till the moon and the stars illuminate the skies
Think about what's good and what you know is true-
think about what's bad and what we can do
What we can do to change and embetter our lives
How we can go on side by side
Before you go down life's treacherous road,
make sure it is me in your heart you hold
