Coma
written by: Colin Clarke

Tonight I find it hard to sleep,
so many thoughts begin to creep,
I lie here thinking for my sake,
if I never sleep I will never wake,
but sometime soon I will kip,
my eye's will grow heavy and my lid's will sit,
I might dream tonight but who will know,
for I have nothing to give and nothing to show,
but if I sleep it will be too short,
the alarm will go and I will leave my fort,
awake it seem's but i'm not too sure,
whether i'm still dreaming but what for?,
what if life was like one big dream,
you try to shout out but no one hear's you scream,
and when your asleep you smell no aroma,
and when you think you have awaken you are still in that coma,
what if we were in a coma now there is a notion,
would we generate feeling's thought's and emotion's,
could we feel pain and see that we are bleeding,
and is a coma a body where dreams are what we are feeding,
highly unlikely but could you imagine that,
waking up after a lifetime long nap,
not knowing anyone and having a new life,
leaving behind your friend's your family your wife,
i'm going to sleep and if I do wake,
it's another day on earth for heaven's sake,
but if I do sleep for eternity,
open up the gates and make a bed for me.
