    Counting Sheep

    written by: Evol
    category: Realistic

Sheep one, sheep two, sheep three... too numerous to count
They shamelessly steal your sleep tonight
And you feel the weighty darkness over you,
See the sheep playing with the dreams in front of you.

Sheep one, sheep two, sheep three... too numerous to count
Some scenes from the past in your head you found
You smile recalling that very episode of life,
And wrinkle the forehead remembering other five.

Sheep one, sheep two, sheep three... too numerous to count
Stumbling at your thoughts, seeing how they mount
You turn from side to side searching for some comfort
And dial your dreams' number to quickly come by four.

Sheep one, sheep two, sheep three... too numerous to count
You hate the sheep, the head is spinning round.
Almost angry with the night that wants to daunt
Almost happy to disclose your eyes, at last, to see the dawn.
