    Coyoacan Dreams

    written by: Kubilay Akman
    Category: love

time, because of its respect to our love
    bowed in Coyoacan
eternity is only a short break
    to breathe
    between our kisses

that old wolf was the witness of our fire
    the last metro witnessed
    sorrow green taxis witnessed that
my tears were flowing in Xochimilco
and running through notes of a mariachi
    when you were going

my heart, that tired, scared lion
    nestled its head
    over a stone pillow
where the secrets of ancient souls were engraved
    in Coyoacan
while all the lovely tastes were escaping from me
you made me tasted the honey flows in rivers of the heaven

what has remained in my hands today
except sorrow glances of the old wolf,
gleams of the sun and the moon walk hand to hand
and the voice that I hear in wind

I am needy to your power and wisdom
    you, sublime love

my soul is not pure and innocent
but I trust you the sublime spirit
offer me from your dizzy wine, again...
