    Call In Halloween

    written by: Prabha Trimurty
The spookiest night of the year is on its way.
On October 31 "All Hallows Eve" day
Plum full of paganism to display
A fun time for kids and grown-ups to sashay

Donning the identity of Witches and skeletons
    Demons Vampires, ghouls and phantoms
Superheroes, ghosts and skeletons frolic around.
Roaming the streets, on their trick-or-treat rounds

These made-up elements of the spirit realm
Knock on the door to tease and alarm
Behold, the Halloween identities of some
Will play tricks on those who don't conform

Let them celebrate this play of fantasy
All fears lie buried in innocent gaiety
Turn on the porch lights and greet trick-or-treaters
A scary good time for the hallo-weeners
