    For My Friend

    written by: A Relative
    Category: Friendship

So long ago I made a choice
To leave your side, not hear your voice

How cruel I was to turn away
Alas, I regret it deeply today

I'm sorry friend I truly am
I'd like to be your friend again

If you can forgive my mistakes
I'd be happy for both our sakes

This time I wouldn't be so mean
    Our friendship I would esteem

True love never seems to die
Whether for a friend or for a guy

It may not be quite the same
But by now I'm sure you know my name

Drop me a line or give me a call
I really want to tear down the wall

We've been through changes these last few years
Let's share our lives, our joys, our tears

I'll understand if it's not time yet
I just had to try or forever regret
