Him
written by: Kerry-Anne Furno
Category: Love
It's his smile, it lights up the room and when its directed at me,
it gives me butterflies.
It's the way he says hello, no matter how hard I try it brings a smile to my face.
It's the intensity of his gaze that sets my pulse racing.
It's the casual touch on the arm,the brush of fingers as something is handed to me,
it feels like a spark of electricity.
It's the nickname he gave me that makes me feel whole.
It's his hugs goodbye or hello that starts my heart pounding.
It's the feel of his lips against my skin that gives me goosebumps.
It's his featherlight touches that make me shiver.
It's the sound of his car in the drive,
of his step on the stair that makes me lose my breath.
It's the fact that my love for him is eternal that makes it harder to bear.
It's the fear that we truly do only meet that one special person to love for all time.
It's the reason I cry myself to sleep each night,
the thought of never again feeling the way I feel for him.
Because never again will he call my name.
Never again will I feel the warmth of his arms.
Never again will he pull me close and say 'its going to be alright'.
Never will I hear him laugh and feel my heart answer.
Never will he knock on my window.
Never again will i feel that way.
Never will there be something else to remind me of him.
He can never leave me again.
Because he already has, and there is no respite from the pain I feel,
from the thoughts that i will never be loved again,
held again,
kissed again,
cherished again,
Because he is gone and with him my one true chance at happiness.
My one love,
My first love,
My true love.
Rest in peace my darling,
for there will not be a day that goes by that I wont think of you,
miss you,
and want to join you.
I love you.
I wish I could have told you.
I should have told you how you took my breath away,
made my heart race,
my knees weak,
my head spin,
And my pulse flutter.
I should have
But I didn't
And now I cant.
