    I Fell To My Knees

    written by: Victoria
    Category: Spiritual

    The rain began to pour
    down my face like tears.
I raised my hands up to the sky,
collecting the water in my palms.

    I fell to my knees,
    beaten and defeated.
    I bowed my head.
    I gave up.

    My cries turned into laughter.
    My laughter released me.
    And the darkness came
    with silence.

    I stood up,
I took that first painful step.
    With the help of angels,
    I made my way home.

    They laid me down
    for a nights rest.
    I awoke at dawn.
    All of my wounds, healed.

    The sun appeared
    rays of light enter me
    filling me with energy.
I saw a rainbow in the sky.

    Today is that day
I have waited for so long
What I thought was my defeat,
    was my victory all along.
