i'd give everyone power
even if only for an hour
if i were a carpenter
i'd give everyone a house
perhaps even a mouse
if i were a plumber
i'd give everyone a sink
from there they could drink
if i were a roofer
i'd give everyone a shingle
under it they could mingle
if i were god
i'd give everyone weed
so they could laugh till they peed
if i were god
i would give one of everything above
and even a whole lot of love
