    Losing Dreams

    written by:Kubilay Akman
    Category: none
    in thunderstorm, with incalculable disappointments
you are tired in vicarious loves, viscous yesterdays
    and lost tomorrows

you starve for a bit of silence
in the middle of this mushy story
    so soapy

    strikes, uppity shadows
    from labyrinths of moldy books

all the mirrors in your heart
    worn-out, worn-out
    reflect nothing
    except
    insolent smiles of death

    his faces are so harsh
    for you, zonked loser

    through violet houses, suspicious playbills
who plays the most frightening betrayals
who plays the steaming sins of wheezy memories

through the mystic words of some old tales
an ancient beauty is shining for you
    a girl with lynxes
    calls you

    on a bridge, over precipices
    you see the girl smiles
    on the edge

eyes of lynxes sparkle for you
    shining rubies, emeralds, diamonds

    over precipices, speechless

on the other edge the lynching crowd
    is getting closer and closer

    the most cryptic situation,
solution is impossible with your semiskilled hands

this is not the time for spendthrift hesitation

    precipices
    suffice you

    looser pawn of all games
    loser, not able to pass
    ajar doors

not able to swaddle future and past

loser, precipices are the last throne
for each piece of your defeated body and soul
