Loving Was in the Palm of my Hand

    author: Debra Dicembre

Love was in the palm of my hand
    But foolishly,
I blew it away like unwanted grains of sand
    Grains that now sit
    In the shell
    And aggravate
    Many tears, many years.
May there yet be a pearl
