    Memories

    written by: Roxette Bird
    category: Love

I sat there with a cigarette in my hand, a coffee at my side.
Memories from my heart poured out. I closed my eyes and cryed.
You taught me what love really is, I never knew I'd pay.
With tears and painful heartaches, till the day you walked away.
That day I cryed tears for you, I wanted to tell you that I care.
My love for you is true, and that I would always be there.
    I really did love you.
I was hoping you'd say the same.
I didn't expect you to leave me and put me through more pain.
I prayed someday you'd love me.
I guess it couldn't be, for I knew you never really cared, whatever happened to me.
But even so I love you, more than anyone I've known.
And I'm sure it's hard to understand, just how much my love has grown.
