    Take Me To My Sleep

    written by: Simon Robinson
    Category: Love

Drink deep of you my sweet darling wine
    As you succour my sorrow
    Sink deep into me
    As my breath draws slow
    Rapture in every contour
    As you enter my stomach
Warm my vital organs as my emotions hang low

    Sit with me in silence
    As I contemplate my future
    Stand proud and strong
As I reflect on that I've lost
Look deep and full and frightening
As I lift you to my lips
Pour into me swiftly as I dream of my youth past

    Sounds close by echo distant
As your effects mellow my passion
Progress me to oblivion as I reach for your glass
Not long to guide me there now
    With your promises of for-get
Only half a bottle more to take me to my sleep

I'll drown in my own sadness
    With only you for solace
In the depths of my depression
    Preying for my death
    Take me there my darling
    My sweet red wine
