    The Mask

    written by: Jessica M
    category: ?

Her sweet scent radiates from her. Her beauty is true. Her eyes deep with compassion. Her heart filled with lust. All the boys want her, but I know what she wants. Who she is. What she is. She's fake. She's depressed. She wants to leave this earth. Quietly and softly. Her beauty hides her true feelings. Masks them. She isn't who you think. But I know. Someone you would least expect. She hides behind the mask. Retreats to safety behind her eyes, her beauty; her mask. She's every girl walking around with a dark secret. She has sadness behind her eyes. You can't see it, but I can. I secretly watch her sometimes. She writes in her diary in class, while the teacher lectures. I see the sad words. Sometimes she looks over her shoulder at me, probably feeling watched. I look away when I know she turned. She knows I know her secret. She knows I see through her mask. She knows I see the real person behind the mask.
