To My Mother With Love
author: Prabha Trimurty
Did I ever bond you?
For whom I am today.
Did I ever display?
Gratitude for being my cradle
Mercy to your sacrifices.
Dedication, to your loyalty.
Emotion, to your melancholy
Care, to your infirmity
Help, to your hardships
Sensitivity, to your feelings
Compassion, to your hurt.
Tolerance to your circumspect.
Concurrence, to your severity.
Pursue your credence.
Amend, to your wishes.
Expression, to your inquiry
Endorsement, to your design.
Veneration, to your spirituality.
Optimism, to your worries.
Truth, to your qualms
Consideration, to your perception
Delight, to your wits.
Harmony, to your peace.
Forgive me, mom, for now, I know.
Mom, Thanks for the gift of life.
Thanks for making me free
And, for helping me stay free.
Love you mom, Prabha
